Programme Highlights

We are thrilled to announce the continuation of our enlightening seminar, “Sustainable Development – Building a Smart and Livable City”. Building upon the success of our previous event, the HKIE CVD-CEDD Joint Conference 2024, which focused on “Innovation and Technology: Building a Smart and Livable City” held on January 24, 2024, this seminar aims to further explore the subject. The conference received overwhelming positive feedback, serving as a catalyst for further exploration.

We are honored to have secured the participation of two distinguished speakers for this upcoming seminar: Professor Elvis Au and Mr Henry Wang. Both speakers are widely recognized in their respective fields and bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table. Together, they will engage in insightful discussions and share their profound insights on the concept of sustainability and its paramount importance in our rapidly evolving world.

By bringing together these renowned experts, our aim is to create a platform for meaningful dialogue, inspiring ideas, and the exchange of valuable perspectives. Join us as we delve deeper into the multifaceted aspects of sustainability and explore how it intertwines with the vision of building smarter and more livable cities.

Professor Elvis Au will deliver a talk on the topic of “Decarbonization in the Built Environment and Construction”, shedding light on the crucial steps needed to reduce carbon emissions and promote sustainability within these sectors.

EurIng. Henry K. H. Wang will discuss “The Roadmap for Sustainable Business and Achieving Net Zero Carbon Emissions”, providing valuable insights into the strategies and initiatives required to foster sustainable practices and achieve the goal of net zero carbon emissions.
