Speakers:

Prof K F Chung (Poly U)

Dr. H C Ho (Poly U)

Mr. Kenny Wong (Jumbo Construction Technology Limited)

Programme Highlight:

The primary objective was to explore the development of high-strength steel and welding technology applications in Hong Kong.

Jumbo Construction Technology Limited (JCT) will present the topic "Latest Engineering Achievements and Structural Applications of High-Strength S690 and S960 Steel." As high-strength steels, S690 and S960 play a critical role in modern architectural design and engineering. Prof Chung and Dr. Ho will provide a detailed introduction to the latest research findings on these steels, including improvements in material performance, optimization of production processes, and cost-benefit analyses. Additionally, he will discuss practical application cases of these high-strength steels in real-world projects, demonstrating their significant advantages in enhancing structural safety, reducing material consumption, and improving durability. It is anticipated that this presentation will promote the widespread adoption of high-strength steels in the construction industry and drive innovation in structural design and construction technologies.
