[FULL] Technical Visit to Contract No. CV/2012/09 – Liantang / Heung Yuen Wai Boundary Control Point Site Formation and Infrastructure Works – Contract 3

Programme Highlight

The Liantang / Heung Yuen Wai Boundary Control Point (BCP) (LT/HYW BCP) is the seventh land crossing between Shenzhen and Hong Kong. This BCP will connect the expressway systems in Hong Kong and Shenzhen which shall shorten the travelling time between Hong Kong and eastern Guangdong, southern Fujian and Jiangxi, and thus help facilitate greater regional cooperation and development in future.

 

This contract, CV/2012/09, consists of the construction of four link roads connecting the existing Fanling Highway with the south portal of the Lung Shan Tunnel; realignment of the existing Tai Wo Service Road West and Tai Wo Service Road East; widening portion of the existing Fanling Highway and the associated works; and demolishment of the existing vehicular bridge and footbridge at Kiu Tau and reconstruction of the Kiu Tau Footbridge.

 

Participants of this visit will be able to get the first-hand information about the ongoing construction works and have a better understanding of the road widening works and the link roads construction works.

  • Number of participants is limited to 20 on a first-come first-served basis with priority given to members of HKIE Civil Division.

  • Applicants who have already successfully registered to or participated in more than FIVE (5) visits organised by Civil Division in the session 2016-17 will be given lower priority during the process of registration.
