Location Highlight

The Site Formation and Infrastructure Works for Public Housing Development near Tan Kwai Tsuen in Yuen Long primarily comprise: (a) site formation works and construction of associated retaining walls and slopes; (b) construction of a carriageway for connecting Shun Tat Street with the proposed improved Tin Shui Wai West Interchange; (c) construction of water supply facilities, including two service reservoirs and a pumping station; (d) construction of a sewer connecting to Ha Tsuen pumping station; and (e) ancillary works including drainage and landscape works.

 

During this visit, participants will first gather at the assembly venue. After arrival at the site, an experience-sharing session on the works and challenges of the project will subsequently be provided, followed by a tour of the housing site where site formation works are being carried out.

• The maximum number of participants is limited to 25 on a first-come first-served basis with priority given to members of HKIE Civil Division. The deadline for registration is 11 May 2024.
• Applicants who have already successfully registered to or participated in more than FIVE (5) visits organised by the Civil Division in the session 2023-24 will be given lower priority during the process of registration.
• Safety shoes are required for the visit.
