Ir Chan Nai Kin Steven

Steven Chan has rich experience as an RCx Professional (RCxPro) and Registered Energy Assessor (REA) with a number of successful RCx and EA projects in Hong Kong. He has an energy and building services background and is capable of performing in-depth analysis involving calculations and computational methods. He has significant experience gained mainly in MEP design and review, green building consultancy, RCx commissioning, energy audit, and efficiency-related technical services. His accomplished projects are located in Hong Kong, China, and Macau.

Steven is a certified BEAM Pro and possesses particular expertise in managing testing and commissioning for green building projects. He is active in HKIE Gas & Energy Division and contributes to the ASHRAE Macau Society.

Steven has over 20 years' experience in the design, contracting, construction, and project management of engineering projects, including commercial office, hotel, residential, shopping centre, railway extension, and government projects, specifically in HV & LV Electrical, HVAC, ELV, and Building Services systems. He has in-depth knowledge of various other M&E systems and is in a position of Project Manager for various large projects. He also carried out a Design & Build project in Macau from 2007 to 2009 and was involved in tendering with building services design, specification, drawings, and close coordination with BS Engineers and Sub-contractors due to the construction period, responsible for the establishment of combined services drawings, as-fitted drawings, and builders' work drawings, etc. Design vetting and coordination, as well as monitoring and supervision of the work progress of sub-contractors, are routine for him.

He also has extensive experience in Green & Energy Management. From 2009 to 2012, he completed the Hong Kong Energy Efficiency Registration Scheme for a number of projects such as for Hong Yip Property Residential & Commercial Buildings. In support of the Hong Kong Government's recent initiatives, from 2009 onward, his responsibility has also covered various Energy Efficient & Energy-cum-Carbon Audits Projects (EEP & ECA), the Carbon Less Certificate Scheme of the HKSAR, and BEAM Plus projects.
