Programme Highlight:

Central Kowloon Route (CKR) consists of a 4.7 – kilometre long dual three-lane strategic trunk road in Central Kowloon linking the Yau Ma Tei Interchange in West Kowloon with the road network of the Kai Tak Development and Kowloon Bay in East Kowloon. It is anticipated that CKR will relieve traffic congestion in the road network in Central Kowloon.

As part of the eight main Contracts of CKR, Kai Tak East (Contract No. HY/2018/02), which is the first NEC contract in the CKR Project, mainly comprises the construction of an approximately 700-metre long CKR main road in Kai Tak, the construction of the Kai Tak Interchange, including bridges, underpasses and associated at-grade slip roads, connecting the CKR with the existing road network and other associated works.

This technical visit will begin with a brief introduction of the project by site representative at CKR-KTE Site Office and followed by live-streamed site walk led by HKIE Civil Division site visit reporters and Kai Tak East (KTE) site representatives using Zoom. The site walk will consist of three main Check Points including Kai Fuk Road Footbridge Construction, Underpass S21 Construction and Bored Pile Construction at KTE. The Virtual Site Visit will conclude by a Q&A Section hold by KTE site representatives and HKIE Civil Division site visit reporters.
