Programme Highlight

The Hong Kong Offshore Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Terminal project is part of Hong Kong Government’s Strategy to have more than 50 percent of the territory’s electricity generated from natural gas in the near future. It would be one of the key components to further improve on the local air quality and to address climate change. It is a joint effort from the two power generation companies in Hong Kong and about to go into construction stage. This presentation gives a glimpse of the challenges of this rather unique project.

Speakers

Daman Lee started his career as a geotechnical engineer. For the last 15 years, he has been working mostly on infrastructure projects. In more recent years, he has been on the project proponent’s side managing multi-disciplinary, often marine related, infrastructure projects.

The number of participants is limited to 120 and priority will be given to members of Civil Division and previous registered participants.
