Pak Shing Kok Disciplined Services Quarters Construction Site
Construction of Disciplined Services Quarters for the Fire Services Department at Pak Shing Kok is the first pilot public works project adopting Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) technique in Hong Kong. This project commenced in September 2018.
This contract comprises the construction of five quarters blocks, having 16-17 storeys for each block. With 8 units on each floor, the quarters will provide 648 three-bedroom units of 50 square metres. There are about 3,800 MiC modules in total. Only 30 minutes are needed for installation of one module, and it takes about five working days to assembly one floor. Currently, more than 10% of the module installation works have been completed on site.
This technical visit will begin with a brief introduction of the project and follow by site walk to major activities on site.
This technical visit will begin with a brief introduction of the project and follow by video demonstration of module lifting and visit to a MiC demo house.
