Technical Seminar on Recent Developments in Engineered Cement-Based Composites. Modeling and Technology

Date, time & venue
2007-02-13;;

The development of new cement based composites have taken a huge leap forward in the past 10-15 years with the introduction of materials, carefully engineered in terms of constituents, production and application – so called Engineered Cement-based Composites. The lecture will summarize the present understating of the micromechanical mechanisms of advanced cementitious composite materials, give an overview of state of the art of technology and production techniques and give an outlook on future potential innovative structures and application areas

Speaker
Dr. Henrik Stang is Professor in Dept. of Civil Engineering at Technology University of Denmark and Director of 3H Inventors. He received his PhD from Technology University of Denmark in 1985. His research interest include multi-physical and multi-scale modeling of reinforced concrete structures, probabilistic modeling of environmental and mechanical loads and materials properties, and development of numerical model for life simulation of reinforced concrete structures covering aspects of production, construction and in-service life.
