Practical Management Approaches in Mainland China

“Are you managing a project or are you managed by the project?”, “Are you a Project Manager or a Project Messenger?” these are questions surrounding us all the time. The seminar aims to explore contemporary project management from various view points: Management, Psychology, and Philosophy. It also gives practical guidelines for practicing engineers who need to supervise off-site fabrication works in Mainland China. Through a series of case studies, the seminar shows how various theories can tie in with real work. The seminar will be delivered in Cantonese.

Speaker:
Dr. Stephen Lam has extensive working experience in Hong Kong, Mainland China, Australia and Canada. He is currently working for Maeda – Hitachi – Yokogawa – Hsin Chong JV on Stonecutter Bridge project, and stations in China overseeing fabrication.
