Programme Highlights

The talk discusses the enhancement of durability and service life of high performance concrete as the top priority in concrete engineering. In addition, the talk discusses the sustainability of concrete as an important move to energy and resource saving. Many examples of infrastructures recently built or under construction such as bridges and high speed-rail will be introduced in the talk.

 

 

Speaker: Ms. SUN Wei

Professor of Materials Science and Engineering, Academician of China Academy of Engineering.

 

Sun Wei graduated from the Southeast University in Nanjing, China in 1958.  Ever since then, she worked at the University as a teaching and research staff, and successfully completed a number of national, provincial and military research projects in the field of civil engineering and construction materials.  She also published more than 280 technical papers at national or international journals and other publications.
