Programme Highlights

 

Handling trees become a major challenge to infrastructure projects, the technical seminar will focus on –

 

(1)                 the education/training and skills required of an arboriculturist;

(2)                 the science of tree roots and how they affect engineering design process;

(3)                 technical aspects of tree assessment surveys, criteria used for decision-making for tree retention, transplanting or removal (felling); and 

(4)                 how trees affect railway projects, and how we managed the process of getting tree removal permit.

 

 

Speaker
Dr. Peter Yau, Arboricultural Consultant, Victorian State Government, Australia.  Dr. Yau is an expert in tree management and has been providing advisory services to government and railway corporations in tree management related to infrastructure projects.
