In the 11th People's Congress, environmental protection is included as the objective and work plan in the "Twelfth Five-Year" Plan. Profound and detailed understanding on environmental protection strategies and progress in the next five

years is important for the citizen in HKSAR. In addition, we could also keep abreast of the international environmental protection development and trend. In view of this, the Hong Kong Association of Energy Engineers in association with the

Association of Energy Engineers, Hong Kong Chapter jointly organize this Symposium. The Ministry of Environmental Protection of the People’s Republic of China has approved four experts from the "Environment and Economic Policy

Research Center" together with the expert from HK Trade Development Council to present in this Symposium. The speakers will share their experience and insight in the environmental protection and national strategies of the "Twelfth Five-Year" Plan as well as international environmental protection and energy issues.
