Program Highlight

The new steel reinforcing bars standard CS2 will be promulgated in early 2013. It consists of new purchaser testing regime for mechanical, chemical and bond properties. 460MPa steel grade will be upgraded into 500MPa and two ductility classes will be introduced.

Ir C. K. Cheung is a professional civil engineer. He is a Vice-President of Hong Kong Concrete Institute. He has been actively involved in the past in the drafting of testing standards and product certification schemes.
