Speakers

Mr. Wim Elzink has 40 years of experience in the application of plastic pipes.  He is the International Product Manager of Wavin, an internationally leading supplier of plastics piping systems. In his earlier days, he has led research on buried plastic pipe performance and managed several development projects, including Wavin’s pipeline renovation system Compact Pipe.

Programme Highlights

Concepts of designing, installing and operating sewer systems have changed significantly over the past 25 years or so. In particular in Europe the use of plastic piping systems has clearly contributed to a much better controlled operation and maintenance by the system owners. This seminar will deal with the history and current situation of sewers, modern approaches using plastic piping systems, including access chambers, and existing sewers requiring rehabilitation.

Program Rundown:

  1. Sewer Systems - History and Current Situation
  2. Plastic Pipes for New Systems (Plastics - Flexibility vs. Strength / Pipe Types and Materials / Chambers)
  3. Plastic Pipes for Sewer Rehabilitation (Renovation)
  4. Question and Answer
