Ir S.W. Fok, AECOM - (Chief Resident Engineer – Contract HY/2009/15)
Ir Fok has worked in the civil engineering construction industry for 36 years (both with listed contractors and institutional consultant firms). He has been responsible for various mega size projects including foundation, structures, marine works, buildings and civil infrastructures.
He is currently the Chief Resident Engineer of Contract No. HY/2009/15 – Central-Wanchai Bypass - Tunnel (Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter Section)
Ir K. C. Cheung, China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Ltd. – (Project Director)
Ir Cheung has worked in the civil engineering contracting industry for 30 years. He has been responsible for major infrastructure projects including Castle Peak Road Widening, Deep Bay Link - Southern Section, and Tuen Mun Road Reconstruction and Improvement. He is currently Project Director on the Central-Wanchai Bypass – Tunnel (Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter Section), and Central-Wanchai Bypass Slip Road 8 Section.
This is a revised notice to advise that the venue is changed to Room N002, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
The seminar will allow members to have a better understanding of the difficulties/ constrains, and the construction methodologies of the East Ventilation Adit (EVA) at Contract No. HY/2009/15 – Central-Wanchai Bypass - Tunnel (Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter Section).
The seminar will also overview the works of Contract No. HY/2009/15 – Central-Wanchai Bypass - Tunnel (Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter Section). The following matters will be covered during the seminar :-
1. Site Overview ,
2. Difficulties and Constrains for construction of EVA including the follows:
a) Background of the proposed location for the EVA;
b) Construction works required to be carried out within the existing footprint of the existing breakwater;
c) Typhoon protection during the construction of the EVA;
3. Construction Methodologies.
Registration & Enquiries
Seats are limited to 180. Prior registration is required.
Priority will be given to members of Civil Division and associate members of HKIE.
At 11:30pm 8 December 2013, the number of applicants far exceeded the capacity of venue. Registration process was CLOSED.
