Date, time & venue
The High Island Reservoir, located in the Sai Kung Country Park, is the largest reservoir in Hong Kong with a capacity of 280 million cubic metres. The reservoir was formed by constructing two main rock dams rising some 64m above mean sea level at the eastern and the western approaches of the channel. This visit will focus on the East Dam, the West Dam and the Overflow Structure. Participants would have an opportunity to visit the internal part of the dams as well as a nearby pumping station.
