Programme Highlight

The Whampoa Station consists of an overrun and refuge siding tunnel, and two individual station concourses connected by a platform tunnel in between. It is being constructed under heavy live traffic in highly congested residential and shopping areas of Hung Hom and Whampoa. Pipe pile wall construction for ELS and mix-ground excavation with utility diversion and protection works are substantially completed while construction of station and ABWF are currently in progress. Complicated stages of temporary traffic arrangement were implemented so as to facilitate the construction works.
