[FULL] Technical Visit to Expansion of Mountain Bike Trail Networks in Mui Wo and Chi Ma Wan (Contract No. IS/2017/01)

Programme highlight:

Expansion of Mountain Bike Trail Networks in Mui Wo and Chi Ma Wan is to improve and expand the mountain bike trails (MBTs) in South Lantau to international standards with supporting facilities. This project will better utilize the natural resources of South Lantau and strengthen South Lantau as a place for leisure and recreation.

The works of this project include construction of a gathering place at the entrance to the proposed MBTs at Mui Wo Ferry Pier Road; a training ground near Lai Chi Yuen Tsuen with supporting facilities; new MBTs from the proposed Mui Wo gathering place to the proposed training ground and joining the existing Chi Ma Wan MBTs to form a loop network; and associated geotechnical landscape and ancillary works. The advance preparation works were finished, and the main construction works are started.

This technical visit will begin with a brief introduction to the project and follow by site walk to major activities on site.

• Number of participants is limited to 15 on a first-come first-served basis with priority given to members of HKIE Civil Division.
• Applicants who have already successfully registered to or participated in more than FIVE (5) visits organised by Civil Division in the session 2018-19 will be given lower priority during the process of registration.
