Programme Highlight

The works under this design and build contract are to increase the output of the existing Tai Po Water Treatment Works (WTW) from 400,000 cu. m/day to 800,000 cu. m/day in 2017.

Upon completion of the contract, the supply zone of the Tai Po WTW will be extended to cover part of the supply zone of the existing Sha Tin WTW in Kowloon West and the western and central areas of Hong Kong Island, thereby facilitating the in-situ re-provisioning of the Sha Tin WTW and enhancing the overall resilience, flexibility and reliability of the water supply system in Hong Kong.

• Applicants who have already successfully registered to or participated in more than FIVE (5) visits organised by Civil Division in the session 2016-17 will be given lower priority during the process of registration.
